Voyage is supporting the legal community this February by joining the 9th Annual Race for Justice Valentine Run, Saturday, February 11th. The five hour event will feature entertainment, awards for costumes and the race, refreshments, and a timed and untimed 4-mile, 1.8 mile, or kid’s race. Voyage employees and their family members will be participating in both the 4-mile and the 1.8 mile races.

The past few years have been difficult for so many with the declining economy, the housing slump, and massive job losses. While some organizations and individuals have been able to regroup, others, like community school teachers, continue to feel the strain. From pink slips to district funding cuts, teachers’ concerns range from educating their growing classrooms, keeping their jobs, and supplying their students with necessary supplies and materials.
This month, Voyage Home Loans will be partnering with Rancho Cordova’s Sierra Office Supplies and supporting Cordova Villa Elementary School. The two organizations will be supplying the school with paper, recreational items, and enough school supplies to support their two special education classrooms until summer break.

Voyage Home Loans, is overjoyed to spread yuletide spirit and goodwill to the children of Sacramento’s Children’s Receiving Home this December. Throughout the month, Voyage employees will grant over 20 children's angel wishes and deliver them to the children for Christmas.

As a supporter of sustainable measures for the environment, Voyage Home Loans is on a Green mission this fall. The Sacramento mortgage company, partnered with non-profit organization Plant-It 2020, has launched their second annual Plant-a-Tree program. The program will plant one tree in Vermont for every application received in October. Voyage planted over 300 trees in 2010 and they hope to plant close to 1,000 this month.

With the newly stated federal regulations in place, many potential homeowners are finding it exceedingly difficult to purchase new homes. In an effort to help California’s growing housing affordability crisis, Voyage will be sponsoring the fourth annual Sacramento Association of Realtor’s “Bowling for the American Dream” event Saturday, September 17.

Sacramento, Calif.—Sacramento refinance and purchase mortgage provider, Voyage Home Loans, is hosting their second annual “Pint for Pint” blood drive with BloodSource, a northern and central California blood bank, at Voyage’s Sacramento headquarters July 18.
According to BloodSource, one pint of blood can save three lives and a teaspoon of blood can save a baby’s life. The summer months present a greater need because accidents are higher and about one in seven hospitals need blood on a consistent basis.

Voyage is a certified green business through Sacramento’s Sustainable Business. They are certified green in the categories of energy, water pollution, prevention, solid and waste, and green building.
