Voyage Home Loans was recently recognized for their sustainable ‘Green’ business practices in the 2011 Sacramento Business Journal’s Green Business edition. Voyage is a certified green business through Sacramento’s Sustainable Business. They are certified green in the categories of energy, water pollution, prevention, solid and waste, and green building.

Sacramento Business Journal’s Green Business edition showcases various sustainable businesses throughout the Sacramento region. The annual publication features various companies’ sustainable efforts, including those using alternative fuels, solar and wind powers and green products. In the edition, Voyage was featured as a company that uses sustainable measures for long-term savings.

Voyage operates an 8,000-square-foot office using solar energy, skylights and windows as its main light source. The building’s carpet is made of recycled materials and the loan processes is virtually 100 percent paperless. According to operations manager, Josh Harmatz, Voyage has been able to utilize the savings from the company’s green office electives to fund SMUD’s electricity generated wind power.
