Voyage Home Loans is well aware of the struggles new homeowners are experiencing in today’s market. With the newly stated federal regulations in place, many potential homeowners are finding it exceedingly difficult to purchase new homes. In an effort to help California’s growing housing affordability crisis, Voyage will be sponsoring the fourth annual Sacramento Association of Realtor’s “Bowling for the American Dream” event Saturday, September 17.

The event will feature SAR and industry professionals in a bowling tournament to support the California Association of Realtors Housing Affordability Fund. The fund, created in November 2002, is dedicated to assisting new homeowners purchase a home. According to C.A.R.s website, the fund was established to provide more options for first time homebuyers’ entry into homeownership during this affordability crisis that is rocking California’s housing market.

At the event, Voyage will be sponsoring a lane and four of its employees will represent the company in the tournament. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the C.A.R.s Affordability Housing Fund. The company believes the event offers an opportunity to build stronger industry connections that can ultimately help homeowners obtain their American dream—owning a home.

“We are proud to be part of this event which will assist members of our communities in achieving a major milestone—homeownership,” said Paul Ueckert, Voyage President. “Though some financing has become more restrictive and these times are a little tougher for many than in years past, at Voyage we feel that the American Dream is still very much alive.”
