As a supporter of sustainable measures for the environment, Voyage Home Loans is on a Green mission this fall. The Sacramento mortgage company, partnered with non-profit organization Plant-It 2020, has launched their second annual Plant-a-Tree program. The program will plant one tree in Vermont for every application received in October. Voyage planted over 300 trees in 2010 and they hope to plant close to 1,000 this month.
Not only do they believe their contributions will further the amazing changing of the seasons each fall, but their donation will help aid in the state’s clean up and restoration from the flooding and devastation of Hurricane Irene.
Plant-It 2020, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit foundation, mission is to reforest multiple countries by planting indigenous trees in non-harvested areas around the world. These trees will help prevent or reduce soil erosion, and water and air pollution. They will also bring denuded forests back to life and help reduce global warming.
