Voyage will be hosting a BBQ Friday, June 25th to honor Voyage Processor Courtney Hribal’s son, Trevon Lockwood, for his outstanding academic achievements.
Last year, Tre scored 600 out of 600 in the math category and ‘advanced’ in every other category on his STARR testing at school. He was among the 10 out of 1,200 students acknowledged by the Men of Mason’s Lodge. Tre was given an award and a fifty dollar savings bond.
Irene B. West elementary school recommends students to the National Elementary Honors Society based on their academic performance, attendance and community service. In order to be considered for membership, students must write an essay describing their responsibility at home, school, and in their community. As a member, Tre participates in community projects from helping the homeless to cleaning up creeks.
After the school day is finished, Tre has many after school responsibilities. The Honors Society meets on Mondays each week and he attends field trips on occasion with the organization. Tre is also active in sports through out the seasons. He plays baseball, soccer, and basketball. He has been acknowledged by the Academic All American organization for maintaining high grades while playing baseball.
We couldn’t be more proud of Tre and want to honor all of his outstanding achievements! |
