July Newsletter - Employee Spotlight

Voyage employee Trina Kimbrell attended of the Doggie Dash on June 5, 2010. This was the second year in a row Trina participated in the doggie dash at William Land Park in Sacramento. The event is put on by the SPCA which helps local dog shelters to ensure humane treatment for the animals in the Sacramento area. The event started at 7:30 am and Kimbrell and her dog Sasha ran the 5K. “It is a great event,” said Kimbrell. “The last mile and a half I had to put Sasha in her doggie backpack since she is too little to go the whole way.” After the race there were many events including dog shows full of tricks. There are a lot of vendors there as well which offer all kinds of neat things for your pooch. “I will do the doggie dash every year that they put it on,” said Kimbrell.  “It’s great fun for everyone, especially for the dogs.”
